Cloud Computing is the term that is used to describe the delivery of hosted services over the internet. It is popular because you don’t have to care about personal server and storage system that you have to create and maintain on your own. Cloud computing is the way through which you can access or manage servers, storage and application services over the internet instead of having local servers.

After Amazon came up with a product called Elastic Compute Cloud, which was released in 2006, this term became popular and was widely used after that even though this term was invented before 2006.
  • The cloud symbol is used to denote the Internet. In a general sense, it is a metaphor for the Internet.
